EID AL FITR, AND TIPS OF STARTING SMALL BUSINESS.
About:
Ramadan:
It begins on the last night of shaban and continues for 30 days. It is a tough fast which is done to multiply the spiritual rewards, during Ramadan fatwas are issued for the regions within midnight sun to follow the rules of mecca. It provides the five pillars of Islam.
Zakat:
During Eid it is a religious duty of every wealthy Muslim to give it's 2.5% of it's income for charity, this is done to ensure that the blessings of Allah is helping to every needy and poor person wether it may be of any religion, caste and region. Zakat is one of the five pillars of Islam.
Food served during festival:
During this festival people get up early morning and wear new clothes and congregate Eid prayers in an open area. As the 30 days fast had made many to control their starve to gain their blessings many delicious meals are servedserved that's why this festival is also called sweet Eid.
•Maamoul:
It is butter filled cookie made with semolina flour and has a stuffing of fig, pistachio, walnuts, dried fruits etc. Also called as mamool and very similar to kleicha and khak.
•Cambaabur:
It is a Somali Eid bread just like doosa or pancake flavoured with saffron, cumin, onion, garlic etc. It is also known as Laxoox or Lahoh. This is very popular in Djibouti. It is served with yogurt.
• Sheer Khurma:
It is a very popular milk dish in India, Pakistan and Bangladesh where it is made from milk vermicelli, dates, sugar and dry fruit and nuts.
• Tajine:
It is a berber dish and cooked in an earthenware pot, the dish consist of a mix of sauce vegetables and meat creating a flavour enhancing cycle.
• Doro Wat:
It is a curry or stew from Ethiopia prepared with chicken and egg and served with bread and tastes delicious in taste.
•Lokum:
It is also known as Turkish delight consist of starch, sugar and other ingredients such as largely chopped wallnuts or hazelnut bound by gel and sprinkled with rosewater, lemon juice or mastic.
•Tufahija:
It is an apple filled with wallnuts desert Bosnian dish which is sweet and creamy due to the syrup and cream added to it.
• Manti:
These are like momos stuffed with spiced lambs and are large in size having origins from china and traditionally served as dumplings in Russia.
• Bolani:
It is the most famous dish eaten throughout the Islamic calendar, it is an Afghani bread with crust and stuffed with mash potatoes, chopped spring onions, red lentis meat and other spices making it delicious cuisine.
• Lapis legit:
It is a desert cake from Indonesia mainly has many layer and was popular in the colonial times. It is made from flour, egg, water and also from cardamom and cloves and is a time consuming desert to make.
• Beef Rendang:
It is a Malysian main course dish consisting of beef stew made fom coconut milk, chillies spices cooked untill it becomes soft tender and delicious to eat.
• Business apportunities:
- As most of the population in the world travel to mecca transportation or airline tickets booking service, tour sevices can be flourished during these days.
- The most popular meal in the festival cuisine incudles chicken, meat , beef and egg so animal husbandry and polutary farming can be a good scope to earn, but if you aren't much capable you could try to be a seller rather than producer.
- As many sweets, dry fruit and vegetables required one could go for a sweets shop and fruits and vegetables shop.
- Many delicious cuisine in Eid had a respectable customer demand so an experienced cook can try for innovation in the cuisines.
- The requirements of new clothes could indulge the growth in clothing sector, so the clothes shop could be a better option to go for.
- Many people love to have perfumes during festivals so a perfume shop or a gift shop can also be a better option for doing a small scale business.
The festival of Eid had inspired many scholars and Islamic enthusiast to show respect to such a dedicated and faithful religion. This festival can be a boon for many who are hoping to start a new journey in their life. Many people visit mecca during festivals to complete their pilgrimage and to owe themselves as a devotee to their God. It is very tough to obey the period of Ramadan which helps us to learn discipline in life and then comes Eid which represents the fruit of our patience and sacrifice.
